- Letter from Else-Margrete Röd, New York Office of Royal Norwegian Information Services, to Jacob Stefferud, acting consul of Norway, regarding Stefferud's daughter's inquiry about Norwegian women aiding the war effort. The letter describes the Norwegian women's organizations "Kvinnelig Arbeidshjelp," "Røde stjerne," and the Red Cross, as well as women working as nurses in England and Scotland, as telegraphers and other roles on Nortraship ships and in the London and New York Nortraship offices, and refugees in Sweden.
