Description

Funding to digitize the O.E. Rølvaag Papers was provided to the Norwegian American Historical Association through the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, a component of the Minnesota Clean Water, Land and Legacy constitutional amendment, ratified by Minnesota voters in 2008.

Jennie Rølvaag is pictured holding a child, possibly Karl Fritjof who was born that year.
"Dear Alma! Was so sorry you could not see our boy when we wre in Canton. Here he is a dandy isn't he! We think so. Well, how are you and your family? ?I' fear? you are a vegetarian by this time.
Valborg has been so much pleased ?? the beautiful spoon you gave her for her birthday and I wish to thank you a thousand times for it. I never see St. Olaf girls this year and I miss them. Don't get up there to see any one either. Babies keep me at home . I am expecting good help around here at commencement ?? Jake the hint? Love to you ? ? ? and greetings from all of us. Jennie R."
