Dear wife!

The morning mail came before breakfast, and there were a couple newspaper articles in it that would interest you; as we are going to town in the forenoon, I will send them- despite the letters that were just sent.

I had a bad attack yesterday evening. I had to finally take one of the tablets, and the result was a sleepless night, but the pain remained even just. I have moreover been bothered by sleeplessness since I came here. 

Today I am well- just a little weak- the sun is shining, and everything looks bright outside. 

Yes, now you all cannot very well complain about not getting letters!
