- Letter to Ella Rolvaag.
- Funding to digitize the O.E. Rølvaag Papers was provided to the Norwegian-American Historical Association through the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, a component of the Minnesota Clean Water, Land and Legacy constitutional amendment, ratified by Minnesota voters in 2008.
- Ella Valborg Rolvaag Tweet (1910 December 8-2003 July 12) graduated from St. Olaf College in 1932 and then studied at the University of Oslo. She subsequently earned an MA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She taught Norwegian and other subjects at Luther College, St. Olaf College and the University of Minnesota.
- During WWII she taught Norwegian to soldiers in the Army Specialized Training Program at the University of Minnesota. There she met her future husband, Torliff Tweet, and they were married after he returned from the war. They settled in Roseau, Minnesota, where she and her husband ran the local Ben Franklin Store. She supported many Norwegian related institutions such as Sons of Norway, Vesterheim museum and the Norwegian-American Historical Association. She is the daughter of Ole E. Rølvaag and Jennie Berdahl Rølvaag.
