Celeste Holm interview, 1995 October 11
In this series of interviews by Odd Lovoll for his books “The Promise of America: History of the Norwegian-American People” and “The Promise Fulfilled: A Portrait of Norwegian Americans Today." Celeste Holm was an American stage, film and television actress. Holm won an Academy Award for her performance in Elia Kazan's Gentleman's Agreement, and was nominated for her roles in Come to the Stable and All About Eve Unprocessed This item is currently restricted. -
Celia and Linne Thompson correspondence, 1906-1976, 2014
100+ original letters, spanning the years 1906-1976, which were used as the basis of the book by Lester Swenson, These Two Are Champions: A chronological book of facts, history, letters, pictures and interviews about the lives of two amazing women [Celia (1884-1978) and Linnie Thompson (1884-1979) from Radcliffe, Iowa]. Celia served as a missionary and teacher in Madagascar, and Linnie worked as a nurse and family caregiver. -

Charles A. Johnson legal document, 1926
Examination of Title for a piece of property, described as Lots 7 and 8 in M.N. Kimball's Subdivision in Section 26-40-13, Cook County, Illinois, prepared by Chicago Title and Trust Company. The record begins in 1841, the document is dated June 22nd, 1926. -
Charles A. Reedy mormon history, 1961
The History of the Mission Branch of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, written by the historian of the Northeastern Illinois District (129 mimeographed pages, 1961).
A number of early immigrants to Illinois became converts to Mormon beliefs. Prominent among them were Goodman Hougaas (Gudmund Haugaas), a "Slooper," and members of the Hayer (Heier) family. Haugaas later became a bishop of the church. Photocopied, 1961. "100 year centennial history of the Mission Branch (Illinois)...Mission Branch was the fourth group of Latter Day Saints to organize in Northern Illinois, April 29, 1861." Two controversial pamphlets: "Mormonernes vranglære," Kristiania, 1874, 47 pages; and "Vogt dig for Mormonerne!" Copenhagen, 1862, 22 pages.
