Ole C. Christopher history, 1974
The Norse-American Adventure. Copy of a 419 page typescript compiled by the author who described himself as a traveler and lecturer. His stated purpose is " to bring to the front the accomplishments of our leading personalities in the many and various fields of endeavors." A two page index at the beginning notes the fields he has covered. The information includes many well-known as well as lesser-known personages, but is rather general. -

Kjorstad-Revling family papers, 1951-1992
Papers concerning the Kjstad-Revling family in America and Norway, consisting of correspondence, articles, and pictures, compiled chiefly by Asbjn Hagen, Olso, and Esther Kjstad, Evanston, Illinois. Most of the materials are notes and correspondence of Beulah Folkedahl in preparation for her "Kjstad clan in America and in Norway since 1800," Blanchardville, Wisconsin, 1951, revised 1959, a copy of which is included here. A supplement to this family history was added in 1992.

Andrew Gullixson papers, 1891-1959
Papers of a physician at Albert Lea, Minnesota, who attended Luther College, Decorah, Iowa.
Includes:- Letters written to Gullixson while he was a student at Luther College, and after he was established as a physician at Albert Lea, Minnesota (1891-1920).
- Correspondents are: J. E. Granrud, W. Sihler, Ludvig Hektoen, T. A. Rossing (his uncle), and S. Sondreson of Lillesand, Norway. Also a group photograph taken at Luther College c.1897; identified in the photograph are: Erling Bolhue, Alfred Marlehus, O. K. Omlie, Eli Lewison, G. B. Wollan, Andy Gullixson, Jake Stub, E. A. Boyd.

Ludwig Edward Olson papers, 1872-1873
Two biographical sketches in bound typescript form and illustrated with family photographs.
Includes:
"Grandpa Made Knives" by Ludwig E. Olson and Rolf H. Erickson (1972); the saga of Knut Langedal Olson (1845-1933), a Norwegian immigrant, farmer, and blacksmith, who emigrated to the Manitowoc area in Wisconsin I 1867; The authors are a grandson and great-grandson of Knut L. Olson. "Grandpa Went to War" by Ludwig E. Olson (1973); the life story of Samuel C. Onson (1840-1903), a Norwegian-born soldier in the American Civil War; Samuel Onson emigrated to America in 1858 and served in Company B of the 21st Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry; written by a grandson of Onson. -
Edward Rorem papers, 1974
The Biography of Edward Rorem, pastor, educator, administrator by his grandson, Paul Edward Rorem. Edward Rorem was a graduate of St. Olaf College, 1908, and of the United Church Seminary, 1911. His life's work included service as a parish minister; the presidency of Madison Lutheran Normal School, 1921-1927; and the superintendency of Sunset Home, Story City, Iowa, 1943-1954. -
Camp Nidaros papers, 1923-2016
Papers of Camp Nidaros, a group of summer cottages owned chiefly by pastors at Ottertail Lake, Ottertail County, Minnesota. The original site was purchased in 1909; later it was expanded, and together with other similar sites, Camps Hutton, Lingerlong, and Wenonah Beach, organized the Lutheran Camp Service Association at Camp Nidaros. The Association wrote a constitution to cover Sunday church services.
Includes:- Minutes of Annual Meetings (1923-1980).
- Historical Sketches: Translation of A. J. Hulteng's history written for the 20th Anniversary in 1929, done by Judith Rorstad Anderson for the 50th Anniversary in 1959; "An Historic Update" prepared by Bernice Soelberg Hobart for the 70th Anniversary in 1979; a brief 90th Anniversary update by Paul Eid done in 1999.

Thingvalla Line papers, 1884-1993
Booklet describing the operations of a direct shipping line from Copenhagen to New York, whose stated purpose was to assure passengers sailing from and to Scandinavia an inexpensive, convenient, and comfortable journey across the Atlantic Ocean. NB: Odd Lovoll ("The Promise of America," 1984, p. 22) says, "the Danish Thingvall linein 1880 established the first direct passenger route by steamship between Scandinavia and the U.S. Many Norwegians emigrants booked passage on this line." Includes lists of passengers on July and August sailings, lists of banks where tickets could be purchased, and quotations from Norwegian newspapers, September and December, 1882.

Bjarne Hillervik letter, 1979
Copy of a letter to Rolf Erickson from a retired carpenter, giving details of his life in Norway and in Chicago, and telling of how he began building model fishing boats. A model of his "fembing," a boat used in the Lofoten Islands region, is on display at the Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum in Decorah, Iowa -
Kolstad family pamphlet, 1978
Kolstad Jewelers, 1853-1979, an illustrated booklet issued as a memento of the 125th anniversary of the oldest retail store in Texas. Members of the Kolstad family have operated this business for five generations and have been community leaders in Palestine, Texas.
Includes photo reproductions that date to early 1880s.
