Born in Voss to Ellef Storksen Berge, he emigrated in 1857 and taught in Liberty Prairie, Wisconsin and Big Canoe, Iowa. Representative in Iowa legislature, 1872. Poems in Norwegian. Contents: Knut E. Berge (Bergh) Poems. Mimeographed copies. Manuscript volume of 4 poems.
