- Papers of a Norwegian-born college teacher and press correspondent who was a member of faculties at Capital University and Franklin University, Columbus, Ohio, and Alma College, Alma, Michigan. The scrapbooks (1928-1944) contain clippings from several Norwegian-American newspapers pertaining to such subjects as current literature, the Norwegian language controversy, technocracy, Marxism, Thorstein Veblen, and Marcus Thrane. The unpublished manuscript "A Survey of the Industrial and Economic Development in Central Ohio with Special Reference to Columbus in 1797 - 1872" is Unstad's PH.D. dissertation, accepted at Ohio State University in 1937. Transferred from the C.G.O. Hansen clipping collection: 5 clippings (1930 - 1937) sent "via Hansen" with 4 p. typed 'vita' and photograph. Also, an article by Unstad, "I Filmore County, Minnesota, finnes et beundringsverdig kulturcentrum" published in Nordisk Tidende, February 3rd, 1938.
