"The Significance of the St. Olaf Lutheran Choir in American Choral Music," a Master of Arts degree thesis at the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester. The study includes chapters on the history of the choir, a biography of F. Melius Christiansen, the ideals and influence of the choir, and a list of Christiansen's compositions. Miss Thompson, St.Olaf College, class of 1930. -
Tollief George Thomsen papers, 1924-1950
Correspondence and articles (32 typescript pages) of a Norwegian-born farmer at McGrath, Minnesota. The articles consist of anecdotal accounts of land claims, Indian neighbors, transportation, housing, forest fires, livestock, drought, wildlife, and schools during pioneer days in Aitkin County. Includes: A Norwegian version of one of the articles ("Et pioneerminde fra Tørkeaaret 1894") was published in "Minneapolis Tidende," Sept. 6, 1934, a clipping of this was transf. from the C.G.O. Hansen clipping collection 1996. See in Minn. William E. Thoresen family papers, 1880-1975
Thoresen, former president of Great Western Steel Corp., owned the "Wm. Thoresen Co," of Chicago (419-421 W. North Avenue) manufacturer of architectural sheet metal ornaments. Collection contains many letters, mostly written from Stavanger, Norway (1880-1900).- Miscellaneous documents. 1904-1975

Katarina Thorwaldsen papers, 1892-1911
Katarina Thorwaldsen (born 1877 in Sandsvaer, Norway; died 1954 in Brooklyn, NY) emigrated from Norway in 1911 and settled in Brooklyn, NY with her husband, Theodore Thorwaldsen (born 1875 in Tonsberg, Norway; died 1969 in Brooklyn, NY) a ship captain, who had emigrated from Norway two years earlier. Katarina traveled to the United States with her young daughters, Esther and Eldrid.
Includes:
- Handwritten recipes and other handwritten material all in Norwegian. 8 notebooks dated 1892-1896.
- Sample of knitting and sewing
- Clippings
- Book titled, “Norge I Vare Hjerter” by Nordahl Grieg published in 1929.
- Affixed to the inside cover of this book is a handwritten letter in Norwegian, dated Julen 1942, signed by Haakon VII of Norway.

Ole Thostenson notebook, 1879-1880
Biographical notes about a Wisconsin resident, telling of his father Tosten Olson's problems in selling his farm, and of his enlistment in military service (Civil War). He served in the 15th Wisconsin Regiment from 1861 to 1865, attaining the rank of sergeant. For a biographical sketch see Buslett's Femtende Wisconsin, pages 577-578. His father was a Slooper; lived in Michigan, Fox River settlement, and in 1840 to Albion township, Dane Co., Wis. -
Bjarne M. Thrane poems, 1937-1950
Typewritten copies of Norwegian and English poems written by an "old timer" in Ketchikan, Alaska. One poem, "Hilsen til Statminister Nygaardsvold," was published in "Sanger-Hilsen," March, 1943.
