In this self-published volume, Gwen Newhouse Jones tells the stories gathered by Ruth Anderson, born into the Norwegian settlement located at Jefferson Prairie, Rock County, Wisconsin, about family stories on immigration to the United States that documents three generations. Included in this volume are stories, photographs, and pedigree chart.

Family originated in Hemsedal, Norway. Kjell Jordheim received a full fellowship to Union Theological Seminary, New York, graduating in 1950. After graduation, he returned to Norway and found work with The Europe Relief Organization and the Norwegian Refugee Council. In 1958, Jordheim and family permanently returned to the U.S. as he accepted a ministry call to Wisconsin, and later New York. In 1976 Jordheim was presented with the St. Olavs Medal.

Papers concerning the Kjstad-Revling family in America and Norway, consisting of correspondence, articles, and pictures, compiled chiefly by Asbjn Hagen, Olso, and Esther Kjstad, Evanston, Illinois. Most of the materials are notes and correspondence of Beulah Folkedahl in preparation for her "Kjstad clan in America and in Norway since 1800," Blanchardville, Wisconsin, 1951, revised 1959, a copy of which is included here. A supplement to this family history was added in 1992.
