Minutes of the board of publication, financial reports, and correspondence of the Norwegian Synod's publishing house in Decorah, Iowa, with a branch office in Minneapolis. Thomas Nilsson was the president of the board and L.S. Dale, business manager.

An organ of the Norwegian Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, the volume contains all the numbers except (vol. 2, No. 6-7; vol. No. 3; and pgs. 23-4 of vol. 12) and , of "Maanedstidende" from the first issue March, 1851, to the including March 1853. Edited by A.C. Preus, H.A. Stub, and C.L. Clausen, pastors in the church, the journal was printed in K. Langeland's print ship, first at Racine, Wisc., and later at Janesville, Wisc. In April, 1852, Den skandinaviske presseforening, Immansville, Wisc., became the publishers.
By a Norwegian-born pioneer concerning his father, Iver B. Moe, founder of Poulsbo, Washington, and its first postmaster. Moe emigrated from Fredrikestad in 1880 to Minnesota; in 1882 to Seattle. The biography deals also with the trip across the mountains from Miles City, Montana, to Seattle, and with logging in Washington.

Pamphlets, articles, offprints, reviews, clippings, programs, and 1850-1860 census records concerning Scandinavian Mormons. One pamphlet (1950) contains articles and the program held in Salt Lake City commemorating the centennial of the introduction of Mormonism into the Scandinavian countries. Included are articles by William Mulder and other Mormon historians.
