Øyvind T. Gulliksen articles and clippings, 1984-2001
"John Lie og Amerika," the story of a Norwegian novelist and poet who lived at Fyresdal in Telemark, who became a popular writer among first-generation Norwegian Americans. Lie visited the United States in 1898-1899 and published a volume of poems entitled Helsing til Amerika. "Hollasokninger i Hazel Run: Ø. G. fant mange midt-Telemarkninger i Midt-Vesten,"Telemarkningen, September 14, 1984. "Gjensyn med Drangstveitene fra Morgedal," Telemark Arbeiderblad, September, 28, 1985. Andrew Gullixson papers, 1891-1959
Papers of a physician at Albert Lea, Minnesota, who attended Luther College, Decorah, Iowa.
Includes:- Letters written to Gullixson while he was a student at Luther College, and after he was established as a physician at Albert Lea, Minnesota (1891-1920).
- Correspondents are: J. E. Granrud, W. Sihler, Ludvig Hektoen, T. A. Rossing (his uncle), and S. Sondreson of Lillesand, Norway. Also a group photograph taken at Luther College c.1897; identified in the photograph are: Erling Bolhue, Alfred Marlehus, O. K. Omlie, Eli Lewison, G. B. Wollan, Andy Gullixson, Jake Stub, E. A. Boyd.

Christ (Kristen) Gundersen America letters, 1923-1934
Excerpts of letters that were published as a part of series titled "De gamle Amerika brev" in "Fædrelandsvennen," Kristiansand, 1975.
The letters to his family in Øvrebø were written by a mason contractor who came to Brooklyn about 1900 and established his own business. Many of the excerpts deal with the effects of the economic depression of the 1930s.
Includes photo newspaper clipping. -

Eleanor Iverson Gunlaugson papers, 1913-1980
Pamphlets, pictures, scrapbooks, clippings of a Minneapolis physician, who was graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1934. She had practiced in different communities before returning to Minneapolis where she worked at well-baby clinics in the Minnesota Department of Public Health and was for a time a medical director at Northwestern Hospital.
Includes a scrapbook about the 1939 royal visit to America by the Crown Prince and Princess of Norway, newspaper clippings, programs from events honoring them. -
Elise Margreth Cammermeyer Welhaven Gunnersen memoirs, 1844-1904
Photocopies of pages 135-270 of the handwritten reminiscences of the wife of Professor Rud Gunnersen (1844-1904), who taught at Augsburg College, Minneapolis from 1874 to 1883. The memoir is a lively account of the interrelated lives of the Sverdrups, Oftedals, and Gunnersens, who occupied three apartments in the same house near the Augsburg campus. Elise Gunnersen found it difficult to adapt to life in Minneapolis, and her husband was not happy in his work at Augsburg. After leaving Augsburg the family spent a year at the Hauge Seminary in Red Wing, Minnesota. The Gunnersens returned to Norway in 1884, where Elise settled into a life that was more in accord with her background. -
