Norwegian-American Studies

Norwegian-American Studies Vol. 39

Since 1926, the association has detailed and interpreted the Norwegian American experience in its journal, Norwegian-American Studies. The journal is dedicated to showcasing the best work in the field of Norwegian-American studies, including the related fields of history, literature, religion, art, and cultural studies. Norwegian-American Studies aims to not only publish scholarship on Norwegian-American life, but also facilitate intellectual exchange by publishing original research articles alongside discussions of scholarly works in progress, the teaching and learning of Norwegian-American studies, reviews of books recently published in the field, and more.

Norwegian-American Studies is edited by Anna M. Peterson. Since 2019, Studies is published in partnership with the University of Minnesota Press. Prospective contributors are encouraged to review our research prospectus and submission guidelines.

A subscription to the annual journal is a benefit of membership in NAHA. In addition to the print edition, it is available for members to access digitally online. On March 1, online hosting of Norwegian-American Studies moved from JSTOR to Project Muse. NAHA members in need of more access information can contact NAHA.
