Erin Rothenbuehler
Executive Director
A third-generation Norwegian American, Erin joined the organization as Executive Director after serving as a public library director and an adjunct instructor of Historic Research and Documentation. She also co-founded Archiving Wheeling, a community initiative dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Wheeling, West Virginia. Erin brings extensive experience in local history, archives, historic preservation, and community engagement.
Erin earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, an Associate of Applied Science in Building Preservation & Restoration from Belmont College, and a Master of Library Science from Emporia State University.

Kristina Warner
The Borgen Family Archivist for the Norwegian American Historical Association
As Archivist at NAHA, Kristina leads the association’s preservation, digitization, and cataloging initiatives, overseeing a range of archival projects that expand access to and stewardship of the collections. She plays a central role in securing grant funding that has supported digitization, technology upgrades, and special initiatives — strengthening the organization’s commitment to access to the archives. Committed to mentorship and education, Kristina enhances student involvement at NAHA by creating hands-on archival opportunities, supervising internships, and fostering collaborative research and digital projects. She earned both her B.F.A. and her Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she focused on archives and records management, digital preservation, and digital asset management.

Anna M. Peterson
Editor
In addition to serving as editor for NAHA, Anna is associate professor of history at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. She earned a B.A. in Scandinavian Studies at Concordia College, Moorhead, a M.A. in history from the University of North Dakota, and a Ph.D. in history from Ohio State University. An active scholar of Norwegian and Norwegian-American history, Anna published a book on the historical development of Norwegian maternity leave in 2018. She is currently researching the Norwegian-American-run Bethany Indian Mission outside Wittenberg, Wisconsin. Read more about Anna on the Luther College website.
Jenny Wright
Member-Donor Coordinator
Jenny has recently moved back to her home state of Minnesota from Austin, Texas. With her Norwegian heritage, she is looking forward to furthering the mission of NAHA. She earned a B. S. in Business-Finance from the University of Minnesota as well as the CPA certification. She enjoys spending time with her young adult kids and playing piano. She is looking forward to rediscovering winter sports like Nordic skiing.
Erin Wiebe
Project Digitization Archivist
Erin processes and digitizes collections for our World War II Digitization Project. Erin earned a B.A. from St. Olaf College, where she studied art and medieval history. She has an M.S. in Library and Information Science with a focus in Archives Management, and an M.A. in History, both from Simmons University. In her past work, she has contributed to digital humanities initiatives, digitization of special collections, and women’s history projects.
