The Wig Debate Society was established in 1890 by Norwegian immigrants, from the Setesdal Valley in Norway, who settled in the Red River Valley of Minnesota and eastern North Dakota. The Society provided an opportunity for friends and acquaintances to gather and build a deep understanding of life in America.
