Clippings about and letters to Pauline Farseth, who taught at North High School in Minneapolis and at an International Institute in St. Paul, and was active in cultural activities in the Minneapolis and St. Paul areas. She also translated Gro Svendsen's letters, which NAHA published as "Frontier Mother."
"From Husmann to Farmers: Norwegian Pioneers in Dakota Territory" by Eric C. Johnson follows the story of Peder Johnson and Mari Nielsdatter who were born at Nord-Fron, Gudbrandsdalen. They came to America in 1866-1867 and settled in Wisconsin, before moving to Dakota Territory in 1871 and settling in Abercrombie Township, Richland County.

Aug. 16, 1890, died Chicago, Ill., Dec. 30, 1903"funeral service held at Bethel Lutheran Church, Jan. 3, 1904" by Carl Edward Tiller; portrait, poem and sermon.
