Rasmus Bjørn Anderson (1846-1936), professor, author, statesman, journalist. publisher and editor for 24 years of “Amerika”, a Norwegian newspaper in Madison, Wisconsin, was born in Albion, Wisconsin and grew up in Koshkonong, Wisconsin.. His parents were Bjørn Anderson Kvelve (1801-1850) and Abel Cathrine von Krogh (1809-1885). In 1868, he married Bertha Karina Olson (1848-1922). They were the parents of five children.
