2024 Biennial Meeting

Join NAHA for our 2024 biennial meeting on October 26th! It’s a day to learn, connect with fellow history lovers, and support the work of NAHA.

This year we’re shining a spotlight on the importance of archives and our own remarkable collection. Our moderator for the day is Annette Atkins, professor emerita of history at the College of St. Benedict and St. John’s University. We’ll wrap up the day with a reception to celebrate the future of the archives in our new destination reading room in Rølvaag Memorial Library.

Our presenters:

  • Dr. Maddalena Marinari, Professor of History, Gustavus Adolphus College, The 1924 Immigration Act and the Scandinavian Experience;
  • Vicki Tobias, MLIS, Lecturer, University of Wisconsin-Madison Information School, Collecting, Managing and Preserving Your Family’s Archives;
  • Dr. Kari Lie Dorer, Professor of Norwegian, St. Olaf College, Muus vs Muus: Unraveling Archival (His)tories

Registration includes presentations, biennial meeting and luncheon, morning coffee breaks, and a festive afternoon reception.

Register by October 18. We hope you can join us, and invite a friend.
